RA CH 2:

The second chapter on rhetorical act focuses on the reading of rhetorical acts. The main focus of this chapter is criticism. They explain criticism as an acquired thinking, speaking, and writing skill. Criticism isn't necessarily being critical or have the intention to attack anyone's speech or atack a speaker in particular. Aside from learning about criticism this chapter also focuses on the five main characteristics of the critic. For example being able to communicate in a efficient and clear way, able to educate and instruct the listeners about a message and lastly to be able to tell us the nonobvious.

RPC CH1:
One of the readings that stood out to me was “With these words I can sell you anything”. The reading focuses on the way advertisers choose their words wisely in order to manipulate the audience that are watching either a commercial or a billboard. Some common words that advertisers like to use are virtually, new and improved. Something that caught my attention was when William Lutz stated that sometimes advertisers are advertising some products that have been around for along time but simply because they have changed the color of the product they are able to promote a product as new on a billboard or commercial. Moving on to another reading.HO craving the other It stated that many assume you like specific foods due to your race and ethnicity and that's not necessarily correct. You can be come from any type of background and you can still love and enjoy food from another part of the world.
