Second blog
RA CH13

Chapter 13 focuses on media as rhetorical construct. It addresses that everything we see in the news media isn't always original and authentic. For example if you go to e news.com you will most likely come across a  article on celebrity. Everything in the article may necessarily not be true. The job of reporters and journalists is to take a story and change and add some words to the viewers can find the story more interesting and appealing. The job of Journalists and reporters is to co create a story. Something else that they stated in the reading was the media messages have their own rules. For example during a text message you can say TYSO or SYL. Also when we communicate through social media we happen to say things we wouldn't necessarily say in person.

RPC CH 7
In chapter 7 the main focus of the chapter was the resources of language. Some symbol systems are time, movement, music and dance. Something that  stood out to me was loaded language. Loaded language is words that provoke strong feelings. When someone hears these words they tend to feel a certain way due to their past experiences. Towards the end of the chapter the other spoke about the way barack obama was very careful and creative with the way he would use his vocabulary.
